A Changing World

Yesterday I took a nap. When I woke up the Supreme Court had overturned Roe vs. Wade.

When one becomes a parent you hope the world you bring your children in is becoming a better place. You don’t imagine something like 9/11 will happen. You don’t imagine Roe vs. Wade being overturned.

I’m the mother of two young adult children. I hope abortion remains legal for this generation of women should they find themselves in a difficult situation.

As many have pointed out before, why don’t those who call themselves pro-life do more to support women once their babies are born?

    America is in a steep slide. I remember when the book a handsmaid tale came out I was perplexed that it didn’t seem too far in the future. I didn’t believe a whole country could change that quickly. Now I know it can.
